This Elbert and Associates Project features a residence in Sausalito, CA. The home was constructed following WWII, the building originated as a "vertical duplex" with two identical 800 square feet bedroom units stacked one on top of the other over a full height crawl space. Mellor Remodeling in El Cerrito, CA assisted a client with a small deck in poor shape. Inspired by modern architect Richard Neutra, they developed a deck design that overlooked a golf course that was not only designed well but also within a modest budget.
The Original Crafters (TOC) worked on this project to house a water purification plane, which purifies the well water that draws from the Napa Valley Aquifer. In addition to the building there was a considerable amount of infrastructure work that needed to be done such as installing two 2,500 gallon storage tanks, running hundreds of feet of plumbing pipe.
